A Jiffy-Spindle is basically the same as a Jiffy-Drill with the stroking unit and control switches removed. The Jiffy-Spindle can be fitted with a hydraulic motor, an electric motor, external rear shaft, or with no motor. Hydraulic motors up to 10 HP (depending on motor model and its speed), or an electric motor up to 2 HP, can be mounted on the basic body at the factory before shipment. Jiffy-Spindles were designed for rotating a stationary tool. The Jiffy-Spindle may be mounted on a slide to provide forward movement of the rotating tool.
