The #3 Morse spindle is an internal, "Self-Holding" female taper. Common off the shelf twist drills will readily fit a #3 Morse taper. Adapter to go from a #3 Morse to a #2 or #1 Morse are available from local tooling supply stores. Most drills are also available with either a larger or smaller than standard Morse taper. Consult your tool supply store for various options available. The Morse tool holder is equipped with a knock-out slot for easy tool removal.

The no spindle option provides a drive shaft, standard bearing, bearing retainer and tapered pin. The customer provides a spindle that will mate with the drive shaft. The correct dimensions and tolerances are provided in the dimensional print for this spindle style. We manufacture several spindles per customer specifications.
