Data for SYH4EDOPT
The SYH4EDOPT is a 1/2" NPTF side ported, 3 position, spring centered, closed center spool, solenoid operated valve with manual lever and with a push non-locking solenoid override and with 1/8" NPTF tapped solenoid vent/exhaust. The internal spool is shifted one direction only by 50 to 160 psi internal pilot air derived from pressure in port 1 when the solenoid is energized, or when using the override.. The spool is shifted the other direction by the manual lever. Lever can shift both directions when solenoid is not engergized. 50 to 160 psi must be maintained on port 1 to keep the spool shifted while the coil is energized. The spool is spring centered when the solenoid is de-energized and the lever is released. See additional information on solenoid valve operation. Coil is a DIN coil with an ISO 4400 connector pattern. Coil requires an ISO 4400 style DIN cap. Standard voltage is 120/60, indicate other voltages (i.e. 12VDC, 24VDC, 240/60 etc.).
Details
Pressure: 50 to 160 psi on the main body of the valve when solenoid is internally piloted.
Vacuum: The valve cannot be vacuum operated when the solenoid is internally piloted.
Temperature: -20°F to 120°F ambient. Caution: If it is possible that the ambient temperature may fall below freezing, the medium must be moisture free to prevent internal damage or unpredictable behavior.
Mounting: The valve can be mounted in any orientation.
O-Rings: Buna-N.
Materials: Black anodized 356-T6 aluminum body, hard anodized aluminum spool, A380 aluminum end caps, composite gaskets, steel lever, steel fasteners.
Flow: 215 SCFM, 5.0 Cv
Repair Kit: ERKV-4.
3-Way or 5-Way: This valve is basically 4-way, it must be configured for external pilot (Option 'Z') for 5-way service by using ports 2 or 4 as an inlet, or 3-way service by plugging the unused port 2 or 4.
Fluid Media: Soft seal models are made for air, vacuum, and gases compatible with component materials. They should not be used with liquids.
